Bruce started trapping at the age of 9 in the Catskill Mountains of New York.  He's trapped and hunted every year since.

In 1997 when he couldn't sell a large beaver for $20.00, he started to tan the fur he caught.  Ten years later he started to manufacture accessories. 

 

Today he still traps and hunts, but also buys fur from other hunters and trappers.  He also purchases ur at four different new fur auctions.

He uses five different tanneries to tan and employs three ladies to manufacture fur garments and other related accessories at Rocky Mountain Select Fur.
